Welcome to Noémie Pascault

Noémie Pascault assumes leadership of the INRAE Experimental Platform

Noémie Pascault has been appointed manager of the INRAE platform at the UMR PAM site in Poligny. Bringing extensive expertise in microbial ecology and the dairy sector, she will play a key role in advancing the team's research and innovation efforts.

Noémie Pascault

Since October 1, 2024, Noémie Pascault has taken charge of the INRAE experimental platform at Poligny, succeeding Solange Buchin. In this strategic position, she oversees the platform’s scientific direction and operational management.

A PhD graduate in microbial ecology from the University of Burgundy (2010), Noémie Pascault’s doctoral research explored how soil microbial communities respond to crop residue incorporation, with a focus on agricultural practices and soil biological functions. She expanded her expertise through postdoctoral work at INRAE Thonon-les-Bains, studying the degradation of fungicides by bacterial communities in lake ecosystems, and at CNRS Paris, where she investigated the nitrogen cycle in cyanobacteria using metatranscriptomic analysis.

Before joining INRAE, Noémie Pascault spent nine years leading the dairy farming sector at LDA 39. In this role, she supervised milk analyses critical for quality-based payment systems and herd performance evaluation. Under her leadership, approximately 1,000 dairy producers in Jura and northern Ain—primarily involved in PDO-certified products such as Comté and Morbier—were monitored to ensure the sanitary and compositional quality of their milk. Daily sample collections facilitated in-depth analysis of key parameters, including fat and protein content, antibiotic residues, and bacterial profiles.

With her strong scientific background and extensive experience in the dairy industry, Noémie Pascault brings invaluable expertise to the INRAE platform, further enhancing the team's capabilities.

The team warmly welcomes her and wishes her great success in her new role.
